Commentluv is a great plugin which can be used to persuade your visitors to comment on your blog and as per link building point of view, I used it to gain backlinks for my blog posts.

But lately I found that whenever I make a comment the Commentluv gives an errors displaying “No recent posts” message. Well, for the first few times I thought that it is just a temporary plugin error, but when it continued to pester me, I realized that something is wrong and soon figured out that I have been banned by Commentluv.

Commentluv uses your email id and blog’s feed address to find your recent posts and mentioned it after your comment.If you have signed up for Commentluv at its website then you will have an option of choosing the blog post you want to display. You can sign up here : CommentLuv.

Why was I banned ?

Well at first I found the idea of being banned pretty silly as I NEVER spam any of my content, which seemed to be the cause of being banned. I never actually found why was I banned but here are two reasons which might be possible for getting banned :

First, I didn’t realize that I was using a URL different in Commentluv and a different URL while making a comment. The difference was I used the following type of URL : http://techfudge.net while commenting and the following type of URL while signing up at commentluv : http://www.techfudge.net. You might not observe any significant difference but it might amuse you that these two are absolutely different URLs.

Second, my site could have been temporarily banned because my blog didn’t return a recent feed item. Now in order to prevent their server resources, it is feasible for them to ban your site temporarily.

How to unban my site ?

Now that you know what could be the possible reasons that you were banned, its time to let you know how to fix this problem. Just login to the comment luv members section, sign up if you are not signed up and then you can visits the following link to unban your site and enter the url of your site + hit submit. That’s it, now you have your site unbanned from commentluv, try making some comments here and check if its working fine
